THE CHRISTCHURCH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AND THE ADULTS

What a night! Everyone was a little dubious about how members of Shihad, Fur Patrol and Straight Jacket Fits would blend in with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra. But it worked! This event was sponsored by Leighs Construction and the evening was a big success, with some great songs and unexpected humour from Jon Toogood and Julia Deans.

The musicians captured the audience with its innovative and adventurous collaboration and the after party at the Addington Coffee Co-op was a great way to end the night.

 

SUPER 15 CRUSADERS VS THE BLUES

Well is is very hard as a Cantabrian to feel any sympathy for the Auckland Blues. As a team that dominated the Super 12 for so long, it was comical to see the Blues standing behind their goal posts looking so bemused, so often. The Leighs Team has some yummy pizza a few beers before the game and then watched Auckland Blues lose to the Canterbury Crusaders 59-12, what a great night.

 

TEAM BUILDING NIGHT AT THE PEGASUS

This was an opportunity for Anthony to invite the entire company to an informal gathering and to cover off future plans, new initiatives and have a beer or two. Leighs Construction has a very open culture, so to hear first-hand where the company is headed, that we are currently a big part of the Christchurch re-build. This catch-up was really appreciated and it was also a good time to see how many new employees we had.
