CPIT Scholarship 2012
Leighs Construction Ltd is a dynamic and innovative, project lead construction company with a reputation for completing complex and challenging projects to the highest industry standards. We are a significant contributor in the rebuild of Christchurch and have already managed key projects including the the Re:Start pop-up shopping precinct in Cashel Mall and the temporary Ballantynes building. We have exciting opportunities, which we seek high calibre employees to help us complete.
We are committed to training New Zealanders for careers in management within the industry. As part of this commitment we will be awarding a Scholarship to a full-time CPIT CM or QS student each year. This scholarship will pay $2,000.00 towards tuition fees for full-time study, for the first year of study, for either the National Diploma in Construction Management or the National Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
To support their practical learning, students will also undertake negotiated periods of paid work experience with Leighs Construction during the holidays.
If successful the scholarship will entitle you to $2,000 towards your domestic fees for the first year of study. This will be paid as follows: $1,000 upon receipt of the scholarship and a further $1,000 following successful completion of the first year of study.
Holding a scholarship means that you agree to participate in paid work experience at Leighs Construction during the Christmas holidays as a minimum. Such hours can be negotiated with Leighs Construction but would generally be for a minimum of one month.
