What's it Like Being an HR Manager with Leighs?
What does my role involve?
My role involves developing the HR strategy, projects to improve our processes to support our team, work with our team and be highly successful as a business. I also manage processes and support managers in functions such as recruitment, learning and development, health and safety, performance development, remuneration and employment relations.
Why did I join Leighs Construction Ltd?
I was inspired by the culture of Leighs, the direction I could see that they were heading and the strategic view they take in terms of the market and their people. It is not often you get to work with a visionary leader and within an organisation with such amazing potential.
What is it like working for Leighs?
I enjoy the opportunities to develop great processes and work on projects and improvements to help the company be even more successful. Leighs really is leading edge and think to the future when looking at opportunities or new developments.
There is a high level of respect for individuals within the team which is not hierarchical, has a fantastic culture and is very high performing. It is great to be working within an organisation where individuals enjoy the organisation and their roles!

The potential for Leighs is significant; we are aspirational, professional and driven to succeed. I look forward to being part of an organisation that plays a major part in the rebuild of Christchurch and really is at the leading edge of Construction in New Zealand.
