What is it Like Being a Site Manager at Leighs?

 

What does my role involve?

My role involves the day to day running of a complete Commercial site.  I have supervisors, carpenters, labourers and sub-contractors to manage and coordinate.  It involves short term planning of works, health and safety on site, leading the team and ensuring work is being done to a quality standard.

 

Why did I join Leighs Construction Ltd?

After working for Leighs as a temp, I wanted to stay on and work because I really enjoyed the variety of work and the people I was working with.  I have progressed over time to the role of Site Manager and Leighs have supported me in my career development.  I have now been working for Leighs for Ten years

 

What is it like working for Leighs? 

I enjoy the friendly environment we work in. I enjoy the hard work and challenges that we face and the satisfaction of seeing everyone work together as a team to get the job done well.

 

What about the future?

I am excited about the rebuild of Christchurch and being involved in creating a new CBD
